WEDDINGS

A recent wedding solemnised at Holy Trinity Church, Woodville, was that of Isobel.Gytha, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. .3. 11. Rhodes, Woodville, to Francis Phillip, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. 1\ R. Wright, Levin. The Rev, G. W. Davidson officiated. The bride wore a graceful gown -of ivory crepe .satin in mediaeval styled the tulle veil forming tho train, which was held in place with 01 lingo blossoms. She wore a rope of pearls, and carried a bouquet of (.'ream Ix'gonias, chrysanthemums, and trails of asparagus fern. Misses Kasi Rhodes, Winsome Wright, and Lcibor Rhodes were bridesmaids, their frocks being of corn-coloured georgette, and their hats of felt to tone, trimmed with satin bows and diamante buckles. Tho bouquets were of autumn-tined chrysanthemums, French marigolds, and foliage. Mr. Davison Herbert was best man, and Messrs. J. Shakelton and lan Mackintosh were groomsmen. The wedding reception took place at "Trethgarn, "' the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Rhodes. Afternoon tea was set in a large marquee on the lawn, this .and the house being charmingly decorated with flowers. Mrs. Rhodes re-, eeived wcaringa model frock of black ring velvet with a pink vest, her hat being of black velour, and her bouquet of roses, fuchsias, and violets. Mrs. Westoby, the bride's grandmother, was in black satin and beige, with a beige hat. Her bouquet was of mauve and pink flowers.' Mrs. Wright (mother of the bridegroom) was in beige georgette and lace with a coat and hat to tone, her bouquet being of violets. .Tho bride and bridegroom left: by ear, ;the bride •' wearing a wine-coloured : satin frock, with touches of beige, and a velour hat, also beautiful furs, tho gift of the bridegroom.
