BUTTER MARKET EASIER
Messrs. Joseph Nathan and Co., Ltd., have received the .following market report from Messrs. Trengrouse and Nathan 1, Ltd., .London, dated 30th April:—-".New Zealand butter market easier; 132s per cwt. New Zealand" cheese, white 83s per cwt,»colourcd 87s per cwt." Messrs. A. S. l'aterson and Co.j Ltd., Wellington, report having received the following cable advice, dated Ist May, from Messrs. J. and J. Lonsdale and Co., Ltd., London:—"Butter: Market slow, advance not maintained. New Zealand, Australian, 132s to 1345; Danish, 138s to 140s. Cheese: Market weak, owing no demand. • White 82s to S3s, coloured 87s to 88s." , Cabled advice received by Mr. Q. A. Mills from London, under date Ist May, also gives, market prices as ruling at the closel of business on Thursday, and describing butter "The market is quiet," and cheese "The market is quiet."
