INJURED BY TABLET MACHINE

PALMEB-STON N,, This Day. i'recieriek Ellis, aged 58; a mill employee, of Otaki, lost his arm yesterday through being struck-by the tablet collector- on the -railway station while travelling through Liv ton by the Nit-pier-Wellington express. He was standing on tlie platform of tho Jirst carriage, and was struck by tho apparatus while waving hid arm to a friend. His injuries included a badly-lacerated arm, a broken yip, ami eurts and abrasion?, and his arm had to bo amputated at the Palmcrston North Hospital,
