Miller, .S.M., charged with obtaining credit by falsely representing that Dougall Sutherland, of Pirinoa, wouldadvance him money to pay a taxi fare of £8 from Palmerston North to Pirinoa. The .Magistrate, after hearing the evidence, dismissed tho case, stating that it was a border lino. one. 'The accused had worked for Sutherland and .hrtd had money advanced to him by Sutherland before, and the accused could have really believed that Suthcr-, land would advance money for tho fare. The Magistrate, however, warned tho accused th.-rt if ho continued going round tho ..country getting money by these means he would sooner or later find himself in trouble.
