The Prime Minister .(Mr. Ramsay MaeDonald) was asked in tho House of Commons whether ho had yet reached a decision regarding the construction of tho Channel Tunnel, or if he could fix any dato when ho hoped to bo able to announce the decision of the Committee of Imperial Defence on the subject. He replied that the report of the Special Committee which had examined the project was in the handn of two or three various authorities who must consider it. This matter could not be settled in a day. It vvas tho biggest scheme of national policy before the Government at the present time.
