AUCKLAND, This Day. The Hon. H. Atmo:re,' Minister of Education, has telegraphed to Mr. E. Semple, M.P., that he has approved a substantial grant for furniture and asphalting at the Bongotai Boys' College.
OVERCOME IN GARAGE
(By Telegraph.—Preesi Association.) HASTINGS, This Day. An accident which is liable to happen to any motorist or mechanic unless he takes precautions occurred to a local garage proprietor, Mr. B. Ogilvie. He ■nas ■working underneath a car in a pit at his garage and did not notice that petrol _was dripping on his clothes from a leaking carburettor. B'o'was overcome hy tho vapour, and when found two hours later was lying on his face in a pool of benzine, unconecious. Ho is making good progress.
