HISTORIC BEN LOMOND
RESULT OF TAXATION SQUEEZE
'Practically the whole of Ben Lomond, including the peak and all approaches from Loch Lomond, is about to t>o auctioned. The historic spot is part of the estate of the Duke of Montroso, who states that ho is compelled, owing to death duties and heavy taxation, to part with the lands, which have been the heritage of the family for centuries.
