Injuries placing him. on the, seriously ill list at the hospital wore sustained by John Blackburn through the fall of the face of a shingle pit 15 feet high and 30 feet long at . Wakanui. Blackburn was partly buried in shingle and sand and is possibjy injured internally. , ,■:.•■.':■•'.
