APOLLO SINGERS
NEW. WELLINGTON CHOIR
At a general meeting of Wellington's new male choir held .on Tuesday there was a full attendance of members, who are all keenly enthusiastic regarding the organisation. •It was decided to limit the number to twenty-four, and already this number is almost reached, and in some sections there is a waiting list of able singers. The choir includes, some of Wellington's leading vocalists, and when the combination makes its debut something of a revelation in finished part-singing is expected. After deciding npon the name and adopting the constitution of the new body, a rehearsal was held under Mr. H. Temple White's conductorship, with splendid results, exceeding even the most optimistic anticipations. The committee and officers of the new choir are: Committee, Mr. H. Temple White (conductor), Mr. L. J.l- Ketallick (hon., secretary-treasurer), Mr. E. T. White (hon. librarian), and Messrs. P. L. Brady (chairman), W. Billington, H. T. Gardiner, and T. Watson; Hon. auditor, Mr. T. E. Hogarth; hon. trustees, Messrs. W. Billington and H. A. Pargetter.
