BUGBY, 30th May.

In the House of Commons, the Post-master-General (Professor Lees-Smith) said that the charge for the new telephone service to Australia would be, £2 per minute with a minimum of three minutes. The charge would, therefore, bo at least £6. Asked whether the charge would be reduced at an early date if the service proved successful, Professor' LeesSmith said he could make no statement on that at present.
