AMENDED DUTY ON FABRICS
1 WASHINGTON, 2Sth April. Tariff Bill conference members held a special meeting and made several last-minute changes, among which was a decision to accept tho Senate rating of mixed fabrics containing 17 per cent. or more of wool, by weight, as dutiable at the wool rate, to the extent of the wool content, plus the duty on other materials in tho cloth, instead of the earlier fixed duty of 20 cents a pound, plus 40 per cent. •
