A COURIER MISSING

INQUIRIES IN PROGRESS

British Official Wireless. (Received 30th April, noon.) RUGBY, 29th April. Replying to a question regarding the Auglo-Egyptian negotiations, Mr. Arthur Henderson (Foreign Secretary) said that on the resumption of the negotiations this morning, tho Egyptian Delegation stated that a courier, whom they had sent to Egypt immediately after the adjournment on 17th April, had not arrived. In these circumstances, they requested that tho negotiations be adjourned until Monday next. If the courier arrived in tho meanwhile the negotiations could be resumed before then.
