SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.

. Despite the southerly, a delightful evening was' given by the members of St. John's Bible Class tot the searfarer at the Sailors' Friend Society last night, under the leadership of Miss Jlillar. Many items were encored. The performers were Mrs. Aplin, Misses Muir, Lennie, V. Wood, M'Gregor, Hanchette, Parton, Clifford, Stafford. Misses-Muir, Stafford, and Lennie. were at the piano. Hospitality was dispensed by the hostess and helpers. Mr. J. Moore, missioner, spoke on I Defy You,' and pledges were added to the books. The competitions were as usual most successful. Prizes came from Mrs. Aplin. ; '
