In January, 1848, James Marshall, while building a mill for John A. Sutter,_ of El Dorado pouuty, California, noticed shining particles of gold in the mill race. That started something! In the same month of the same year Joseph G. Dill began to make' Dill's Best. That, also, started something. No other pipe-tobacco has been smoked as many years as Dill's Best. When pipesmokera find a smoke they can depend on morning, noon, , and night, they spread the good news among '■' their friends. So through three' generations the word has been passed along: "Dill's Best is the world's best."--Advt.
