DAMAGE BY FIRE

The Fire Brigade received a call at 1 a.m. this morniug to 183, Eiddiford street, a brick and wooden building of two floors, occupied by Honpra Callaghan and owned by Mrs. Ada Bose Packer, of 254, Eintoul street. The building comprised four rooms and shops, being used as a private residence^ confectioner's shop, and boot repairer's shop. The confectionery shop was damaged by fire and water, and the remainder of the building and contents were slightly damaged by heat and fire. The contents were insured in the Atlas Assurance Company for £565, and the building for £500 with the State Fire Insurance. ■
