Mita Taupopoki welcomed them at I the model pa and accompanied them | through the village, where, a demonj stration of Maori -cooking was given. The party then adjourned to the I Geyser Hotel, where after tea Mita presented a carvqd taiaha to Lady ; Bledisloe on behalf of a section of the Arawa tribe. The party attended, a Maori entertainment to-night.
