WASHAWAYS IN WEST
PASSENGERS STILL MAROONED
ADELAIDE, 23rd February
Trains are still stranded on the East to West line at Forrest and Loongana > owing to • extensive washaways. Ai one place four feet of water covers the metals for a distance of a mile.
Aeroplanes are carrying food supplies to various ' stations for the marooned passengers. .
Baihvay officials have been, instructed not to book passengers .from Perth before nest Tuesday, but a 1 feeling prevails that/the trains' will not resume before Thursday. .... • , ■'■.-,■
