CITY OF NEW YORK (at sea), : ,23rd February.

It is Sunday because .we skipped Saturday crossing the 180 th meridian. Wo are now 264 miles '.north-west of Discovery Inlet. Wo have brought back every living dog from old veterans to the smallest, puppies born in the Antarctic. They played, the key rolo, though aviation was the outstanding success of tho expedition. One of our best dogs, Chinook, went off: into the white wilderness on his twelfth birthday and never returned.
