BRAVE NEW ZEALANDER
A SHIPWRECKED CREW
(From "The' Post's" Representative.) LONDON, 16th January. Tho Johannesburg correspondent of the "Morning Post" wired on 10th January:—
"The crew of tho steamer Limpopo, which was wrecked on the barren south coast, landed safely at Luderitz this morning from a harbour tug which went to their rescue after threo of the crew had trekked for five days through the desert.
"The tug, unable to approach the wreck owing to the terrific seas, signalled to the crew, who were ou sho'ro, to walk twelve miles to a smooth beach, where they were taken off. Since Ist January" the crow had lived by the bravery of a New Zoalander, named North, who daily pulled himself by a rope through the pounding surf to the wreck for supplies, at the risk of his life."
