RAIN HINDERS PLAY
On account of heavy rain at Lower Hutt this morning, play in tho Wellington Association's Croquet Tournament was not begun until about 11 o'clock. Following are the results of matches played up to the time of going to press:—
Open Championship; Best of three games, second round.—Mrs. Lowery beat Mrs. Savage;, 26-5, 26-13; Mrs. Bock beat Mrs. Boocock 26-7 (proceeding). Ladies' Championship; Semi-final; best of three games.—Mrs. , Johnson beat Mrs. M'llroy 26-13 (proceeding). Handicap Singles; first section, third round.—Mrs.- Gilbert beat Mrs. Spence 26-6; Mrs. Walker beat Mrs. Gooder, 26-13.
