Complaints from London regarding flavour and excessive moisture in butter received from Australia during February, when brought under the notice of Victorian exporters, drew the reply that butter exporters in Victoria were doing everything possible to see that butter reached the London / market in the best of conditicin. Certain experiments were being carried out in the hope of preventing deterioration of the commodity while being transported from Australia to England.
