BAKER'S PUNISHMENT
A few days ago, Sydney Grey Railton, a baker, aged 40, -was sentenced _ at Palmerston North to three months' imprisonment on charges of having obtained money by false pretences. He appeared on remand before Mr. E. Page, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court to-day on a charge ot having obtained £10 Us 6d by a false pretence, and for this offence he. received another sentence of three months imprisonment to be served concurrently witn his present term of imprisonment. Sub-Inspector Landed said that Ramon was arrested at Taftape. He had been employed as a cook in the Masterton district. .The offender had previous convictions for forgery and'uttering and false pretences. ''
