SOME QUESTIONS ASKED

OTTAWA, 21st February. The attitude of Canada regarding the Geneva Protocol prohibiting the use of poison gas in war was the subject of questions in the House of Commons by Mr. C. 11. Cahan, a member of the Opposition. He asked if the protocol had been signed, and, if so, would a Bill be introduced confirming tho protocol and authorising Canada to sign. He also asked similar questions regarding the Geneva opium convention.
Mr. lv. F. Donnelly (Liberal) asked ■the House to support the view that the time had arrived when Canada should no longer financially assist immigrants, with the exception of domestics, owing to the fact that unemployment is general throughout the Dominion.
Mr. C. 1?. M'lntosh (Liberal) will advocate the appointment of a Special Committee to consider the advisability of tho adoption of a distinctively Canadian flag, with ■ the Union Jack included, the whole to symbolise Canada's status as an equal partner in the British Empire.
