WOMAN LOCKED IN CELLAR

GENEVA, 21st February.

An amazing easo of inhuman cruelty has been revealed in tho isolated village of Montsevelier, where a woman aged 30 was locked up for three years in a small dark cellar, which was in an indescribably foul condition and was unheatcd.

Tho unfortunate creature was clothed in a few rags which hud to be soaked in water before being cut off with a pair of scissors. She is the merest skeleton and her hair is quite grey. Her scanty food supply was pushed through a small hole in the wall.

Her parents havo been arrested.
