INAUGURAL MEETING^HELD
The inaugural meeting of the i newlyformed Wellington1 Alsatian Shepherd Bog Club waa held this week; "":■ There were ovei- forty enthusiasts present, and all enrolled as members ■of ■ the' new club. . . ,:\ it was decided to affiliate:with-the.New Zealand Kennel Club, and to hold .a" show at the earliest possible, date. ; . .;', .. The Wellington KeuueJ Club's..'action in procuring' chibrooms met : with the hearty approval of members. ' It was decided to'adopt the standard as defined by the English Alsatian'- Shepherd Dog Club. .■■■■'■ . Mr. J. Mason, president of: the . Wellington Kennel Club, extended . greetings to the newly-formed body,.■ and .offered every assistance on behalf of his club. The following officers were r elected;— Patron, Colonel the Hon. G. J- Smith, M.L.C.; president, Dr. A. Tenneht; vicepresidents, Messrs. -H. W. Thompson, J. Nicholas. J. Mason; lion, secretary and treasurer. Mr. T. E. Valintine; auditor, Mr. C. Wood; committee, Mrs. .'Nicholas, Messrs. G. Lee, H. Pensular, S. A.'Willis, J. Hawkins, J. Nicholas, B. S.. Vinsen, G. Broad, and R. Ellerbeck. , ■. ' ■
