With regard to the; Otago ■ Cricket Association 's refusal to extend ; Badcock 'a leave to enable him to play in the e^tra Test match' at Auckland, it-is understood that a telegram has been, received from the president of the New, Zealand Council (Mr. D. Eeese), couched m terms 'to which strong exception') has been taken by members,of the Otago Association, who, in the circumstances, had no hesitation in confirming the for: m'er resolution.
