AUCKLAND, 20th February.
Tho healing of tho claim fo'y Marjorio May Davidson for £Il'So general damages and £187 medical expenses as tho result of a motor accident was concluded yesterday before Mr. Justice Sniith and jury of twelve. The claim was made against Kguc Mau, a market gardener, of Avondale, as owner of the motor lorry involved and the employer of the driver, Wong Chcc. v
Aftci1 a retirement of nearly thrco hours the jury roturncd a verdict that tho defendant had been guilty of negligence, and awarded &750 general damages and £187 12s special damages. Mr. Singer moved for judgment. Mr. Goldstine moved, for leave to apply for a new trial on tho ground that tho verdict Was against tho weight of evidence.
His Honour will hear the motions at a time to bo fixed by the Registrar.
