AUCKLAND, 20th -February.
In tbe Police Court, Mary Uaslip (41) was scuteacoa by Mr. l'\ K. Hunt, S.M., to twenty-one days' imprisonment -for shop-lifting and on three charges-of stealing from a city drapory store eight frocks valued at £62. • Chief Detective Hammond said that tho accused, who had pleaded guilty, yna Uvmg apart fromher husband, but. •was being maintained by him. ice Iccused and her daughter .were seen in the street by a shop assistant, who identified tho stolen frocks worn by them. The accused was "dressed to kill." Other stolen goods were louna in the accused's residence.
