. After hearingi evidence yesterday- in the case in "which 1' J?< jHanson,,alias Nejls Pedar . Sorori^en Hansen, a labourer, aged 38,' was charged with', stealing a gramo< phone valued at.Si'Hs 6d, the property of Margaret Lockett, Mir; B. Page, BM., convicted the ■accused-and'sentenced him to three months', imn'risonment with hard labour. Hanson: was represented by Mr. J. Mellizer, "and pleaded not guilty. Mr. Page said that it' seemed to him clca ■ that he should ■ have'to convict the defendant. He stayed two nights at Mrs. Lockett'sl place, and then went away and with him went a gramophone. Hanson sold tho inachiu o',to a second-hand dealer, saying that he had-bought it in the country, Hanson had a number of previous convictions. ' . " ' ' '
