WELLINGTON CLUB'S CARNIVAL
Good entries have been received for the Wellington Amateur Swimming'" Club's carnival at Te Aro Baths on Saturday. Particular interest will be taken in the 50 yards centre championship, in which J. Cameron, R. Pelham, N. Dowsett, V?. "Bowsfield, J. Thomas, J. M'Hardy, C. Claridge, and 'J. Blakeley will be the starters. It is a field worthy of any national championship event. In addition, the younger swimmers of. both sexes wilLba seen in action in the primary and secondary schools' relay championships. Miss Kathleen Miller, the New Zealand ladies' 100, 220, and 440 yards' champiqn, will also be appearing in the ladies''events. W. Hicks, J. Cameron, D. Mulvihill,■:s. Tuppen, and J. Penman, who will contest the diving championship, are all in good form. Maranui, Lyall Bay, Hutt, and Wellington clubs will .fight out the Walker and Hall, flying sqyajron event.
