KUGBY, 17th February.
Mr. Lunn, Under-Seeretary for the Colonies confirmed the report that Mr. Christopher Barlow, Administrative officer of the Nigerian. Political Office, died on 9th February from injuries received in an attack by pagan tribesmen in the Shendam Division of the Northern Provinces, death being due to a i'mefcure of skull caused by a stone. There was no connection between this occurrence and the disturbances in the Southern, Provinces last December.
