CONSTABLE'S DEATH

ASHBURTON, This Day
Constable D. 0. Brown, who a .month ago was transferred from Wellington -to take charge of the Rakaia Police Station, died last night. He was admitted to hospital suffering from severe wounds in the head. He was found lying on the floor unconscious/ with a revolver nearby. Constable Brown was a ivell-known athlete.
