SPEEDWAY CONTESTS
MOKE ATTACKS ON EECOED.
Arrangements liave been made to stage ai special series of events at the Kilbirnie Stadium Speedway on Saturday night, when it is expected that the performances generally will be in line with the best ever registered at tho Stadium, with good prospects of some events producing the best on. record. Frank Pearce, who equalled the record/for the track under adverse conditions on Monday night, is to niaka another attempt to beat the time set up by the other Australian "flyer." C. Spinks, and with tho conditions right he should succeed. Immediately after his attempt, Wally Kilmistcr, the New Zealand champion, will also make an attack on the record. These special features should provide an excel-; lent start for the meeting, but there will be numerous other events to make the proceedings thrilling and spectacular. Max Graham and Eric Whittle, two attractive broadsiders, will be matched in a "best two out of three" contest, and this should be of a very spectacular order. Then, too, there will be performances of class, as well as keen competition, in the "International Big Three," a contest between Ifrank Pearce, AVally Kilmister, and Lionel van Praag. This trio will engage in three races, -the competitor gaining the highest number of points to take principal honours. Another attraction will.be the "special six," an event in which six of the leading local riders will take part. Except for ai) open handicap, the racing will'be under rolling start conditions. Other information regarding the meeting is published elsewhere in this issue.
