The anti-cyclone which has been moving towards New Zealand is now taking a • more northerly course and, since last night, a slight depression has developed- on its southern edge. Barometers have, consequently, fallen somewhat, more especially in the South and southerly winds have given place to moderate to fresh northerlies in and south of Cook Strait. Fine weather has continued to prevail over most' of the Dominion, but at 9 a.m. to-day cloudy skies were more in evidence about Cook and Foveaux Straits.
