MOUNT COOK SCHOOL.
__j m The monthly meeting of the Mount Cook Home and School Association was held at the schoolroom on Monday night. Mr. K. Simpson presided and there was a. good attendance of members. ' The chairman briefly referred to the success of last. year's activities, from both asocial and ih'iiunc-ial point of view, and presented to^the meeting a list of reeonimendotions from the executive, which included the promotion of various social functions during the present year. , 'Thetie were discussed at length and sub-commit-tees formed. Members expressed themselves in complete sympathy with federation, activities .., to secure more adequate capitation grants for primary schools. The secretiiry reported that many new members, wei'e .joining, nd that the membership of tlie association had in the last twelve months shown a remarkable growth. The chairman said that a large membership was in every way desirable, and that the assocaition was now in a favourable position to deal not only with local matters, but to help in federation activities- ______ _________
