At the last meeting of the eseeutiie, Mr. h. A. Eady and the secretary (Dr. E. P. Neale) submitted a report on the subject. The executive, after discussion, agreed upon the following fundamental principles: ' (1) ,Besponsibihty of the whole community; to'find^a solution for the problem of unemployment; (2) desirability of accumulating funds by means of. levy on employers and employees, and contribution from the Government; (3) desirability ot applying theso funds toward proMdong work planned, at long range and of national importance, .suclr 'as • tiic development of waste lauds as a, means ot pioviding work for the unemplo% td on the prLnciplo _oi'.'.'nq %york no jij\."
