A DISTRESSING CONDITION

Owing to the "distressing condition" of the wool industry in Australia, the Graders' Association central executive has decided to apply to the Federal Arbitration Court for a variation in the industrial award which covers shearers throughout Australia, excepting Queensland. . It is claimed that wool is now being wld at a price below the cost of pro. duction.
