PERTH. This .Day. An ex-Civil servant, a resident of Melbourne, who returned last,week in v the steamer Naldera from a holiday with his' wife in'lndia, was found to ; be suffering from smallpox. He was placed in quarantine. The Naldera left for Adelaide before the health authorities were aware of the patient's conditiou. No official announcement was made, but the news leaked' out.
