Wilson, of Ottawa, wife of a former member of the House of Commons and daughter of the'late Senator Robert Mackay, of Montreal, is. the first, woman appointed to the Canadian Senate under the Privy Council ruling that Canada has a right to appoint women to the Upper Chamber.
Mrs. Wilson will be a Canadian delegate to the Conference on the Codification of International Law- at The Hague.
