(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evcnina Post.")
CHEISTCHUBGH, This Day. Buyers representing overseas wool firms in New Zealand have issued a statement to the effect that they propose to take certain action, which is not stated definitely, in the event of wool offerings at Dominion sales still to be hold, not being sufficiently large. There has been a suggestion that the selling season should be extended and that offerings.at tho sales be curtailed accordingly, and the position has been aggravated by the announcement that the next Wellington sales catalogue has been cut down to 14,000 bales.
It is stated that buyers have in mincj the- absenting themselves from future sales-unless the offerings are at least 20,000.
The buyers' official statement reads: The- New Zealand Woolbuyers' Association is in receipt of instructions from the various Wool Federations, which already havo appeared in the newspapers, and the buyers will have to follow this out to the best of their ability. It is hoped that the selling ond will do.all that is possible to prevent the disarrangement and dislocation of previous selling arrangements by offering reasonable quantities.
