R.P.N.Y.C. HANDICAP

The Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club held a race on Saturday afternoon for 18ft and under class boats. The only two to complete the course were the Clyde and Little Haste, the former finishing at 6hr 54min 7sec, and the latter at 7hr 12min 30 sec. There were nine other starters, the Kio 11., Wellesley 11., r Peggy, Ngaio, Phantom, Geisha, Violet, Dusta, and Scud, but they retired half-way through the race owing to the complete absence of wind.

A launch handicap, held by the Evans Bay Yacht and Motor-boat Club, resulted as follows: Phoenix (scf), 3hr 28niin 21sec; Isobel (3min), 3hr 31min 40sec; Jocelyn (4min), 3hr 37min 9sec.
