FINANCIAL OUTLOOK
GILT-EDGED MABKET
FAVOURABLE INDICATIONS
(Received 17th February, 10.30 a.m.)
LOXDOX, lC'th February
The London and provincial stock and share markets generally show some indications of returning strength. Many authorities believe that the worst period of the reaction in prices is already passed.
The gilt-edged security market has evinced a marked improvement. This is largely due to the favourable reception of various new offers of trustee stocks, coupled with the reduction in Bank of England rate, and the smooth functioning of the Hairy settlement arrangement.
