(By Telegranh.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day.. V The Arbitration Court heard a claim by George Wilson Smith, aged 32, a miner, of Glen Massey, against the. Waipa. Collieries, Ltd., for injuries involving the impairment of the Bight of one eye. .

Tho Court allowed weekly compensation for the eight weeks following the accident, and a lump sum representing half-weekly payments for; the period of liability. Costs and witnesses' expenses made a total of £458, less £30 already paid.
