The fortnightly sale of hides, skins, and tallow was held yesterday. There was the usual attendance of buyers. The official range of prices was as follows: — Hides: Ox, 331b to 441b, 4%d to 5 7-8 d; 451b to 521b 4 7-8 dto 6%d, 531b to 591b s«d to 6 5-Bd, 6011? to 691b 5%d to 0%0. 701b and over 6 3-8 dto 6%d; cow, 331b to 391b iVtd to 5%d, 401b to 481b 4Wd to 5%d, 491b and over 5d to 5%d; kip, 251b to 32 1b 5d to 6 5-Bd, 171b to 2Mb 6d to 9 l-8d; yearling, 111b to 101b, 4d to 9 l-8d; calf, 91b to 101b 6%d, 61b to 81b 12d to 13% d, lib to 51b lOd to 13 3-Sd.
Dry sheepskins: Half bred, 8d to 9d; fine crossbred, 7d to lOd; medium crossbred, 6%d to 9%d; coarse crossbred, 5%d to B%d; half wools, 5d to 8d; quarter wools, iVtd to 7%d; pelts, 5d to 7%d. Salted skins: Pelts, Is to 3s 6d; quarter wools, 2s 7d to 4s; half wools, 2s 6d to 4s; three-quarter wools, 3s to 5s 6d; full wools, ss; extra large, none offering; lambs, Is 6d to 2s 9d.
Tallow: In casks, 26s 6d; in tins, etc., 20s to 265.
Sundries: Cow tails, 17d to 179 id; horse hair, 18Ud to 19d.
