The death is announced of Ladyj Burgoyue, widow of Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Alan Burgoyne, who, at the time of his death in 1928' was Unionist M.P^ for Aylesbury in the House of Commons, states a wireless message froiu Eugby. Lady Burgoyne 'before her, marriage was Miss Irene Mac Donald, daughter of a Sydney banker. They; were married in 1906.

Warm tribute was paid to Mr. Wells's assiduous work in the interests of the association and the trade during many years, and on behalf of the members. a presentation was made by'Mr, Briton Smith, who presided, of a~ travelling rug each for Mr. and Mrs. Wells. A pleasant evening was spent, speeches being interspersed with musical items.
