FOR THE AIE PAGEANT
'PLANES LEAVE WELLINGTON
Three aeroplanes left Wellington today to participate in the Canterbury Aero Club's air pageant, to be held at the Wigram Aerodrome to-morrow. The Wellington Club's gift 'plane, piloted by Captain Stedman, the club's instructor, and carrying as a passenger Mr. D. ( M. Marriott, a club member, was one ot" the machines, and the others were piloted by Mr. H. Armstrong, of Hawkes Bay, and Captain W. S. B. Blomfield, of the Auckland Aero Club.
Mr. F. C. Chichestcr and Mr. G. D. Goodwill are to fly to the pageant, and will probably leave AVollington to-mor-row morning. Captain White, of the Hawkes Bay Aero Club, and Mr. D. Mill, of Auckland, were to continue their journey from Wellington this afternoon.
Captain Howett, the Auckland airman, who is to attempt a non-stop ilight from Dunedin to Auckland, and whose machine was damaged yesterday at Rongotai, will not bo able to'continue his journey for some little time yet ponding repairs being made tv the 'plane.
