A regional planning scheme for Auckland was rejected by a conference oi' local bodies last night. It was proposed that an area of 1985 square miles from Rodney County to Franklin County be included 5n the general scheme. The metropolitan delegates were favourable, but the counties and the outer suburban bodies were hostile. The Mayor of Auckland, Mr. G.
