'Offenders' against the bylaws were dealt with in the' Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon by Mr. W. H. Woodward, S.M. For speeding, Eric F. Porter was fined £1. , . .' ■ Hugh A. Henderson, for failing to produce his driver's licence, was ordered to pay costs* only—los. .. ■ ■ On a charge of having done sanitary work not being a registered pumber, John Birt..was. fined-10s. Frederick Bould was ordered to pay 10s costs for allowing refuse to accumulate likely to' harbour rats. ; A fine of £2 each, was imposed on Maria Brockett and John P. Rea for having failed to make proper provision for the discharge of storm water. William Haydock, for leaving a motorcar unattended, was fined 10s. . Failure to obtain a heavy traffic licence cost Henry L. Hecc £1. For allowing stock to wander, James J. Moore was ordered to pay 10s costs. A fine of 10s was imposed on John Taylor for cutting a corner.
