PROROGATION UNTIL JUNE

A proclamation, has been issued in a Gazette Extraordinary announcing that Parliament, which at the close of last session was prorogued until a date not' earlier than 20th February, is now further prorogued till not earlier than sth June. TJio usual date for the meeting of Parliament is the last Thursday in June. This announcement is of interest in view of tho recent speculation of a newspaper correspondent that in view of the necessity for the Dominion to be represented at the Imperial Conference in September an early session might bo expected this year. It suggests that there is no present intention of summoning Parliament before the customary dat.e
