NEW B CLASS STATION
(By Telegraph.—Press Association,) INVEECAKGILL, 11th February. An event of outstanding importance locally was the official opening to-night by the Mayor (Mr. J: D. Campbell) of the new broadcasting station erected in Invercargill by Mr. E. T. Parsons. This station will be known as 4ZP, and a highly successful opening' augurs well for the future, and must have convinced the enterprising owner that his unsparing efforts and large expenditure have not been in vain. The, new station is claimed to bo the most modern of the B class stations in New Zealand, and is being conducted on the same system as tho larger V stations. The wave-length is 2£B metres. Among the speakers to-day "was tho Minister of Internal Affairs (the Hon. P. A. de la Perrelle). A message of congratulation was received from the Prime Minister.
